Katie Stearman
Katie Stearman of Childer Thornton had 10 porcelain veneers fitted to both her top and bottom teeth by Dr Buckle.
The work was carried out partly at the Buckle & McGrath Practice in Thornton Hough and partly at the Aesthetic Advantage Clinic in Palm Beach, Florida where Dr Buckle is an instructor.
"I had always been a bit conscious about my teeth and had a brace when I was younger. I still wasn’t happy with the way my teeth looked and tried hard not to show them when I smiled. For my 21st my Nan promised me some money and I decided to spend it on my teeth.
I had several consultations with Dr Buckle to discuss the shape of the teeth I wanted and for preparatory work before flying out to Miami for the temporary teeth. A month later I returned to have those replaced with the permanent teeth and I didn't recognise myself when I looked in the mirror, I just couldn't stop smiling".

Diane Caird from Bebington decided to opt for cosmetic dental treatment after gum disease ravaged her teeth and gums. Overall she had twenty five veneers fitted as well as extensive crown and bridgework. Diane said "After my periodontal treatment to get rid of the disease, my teeth and gums looked awful. For many years Gloria suffered with her teeth because fear of the dentist which led to subsequent deterioration in her teeth as she got older. When her dental practice was taken over by Dr Ian Buckle, Gloria began to have her faith in dentistry restored. After an initial examination she was advised to have treatment from the Hygienist to try and save her teeth. Unfortunately her teeth had deteriorated to such a degree that they could not be saved.
Dr Buckle introduced Gloria to his business partner, Dr Liam McGrath - an expert in aesthetic and restorative dentistry who advised her that permanent implants would be the most viable solution for her. Karen Chapman Gordon
Karen Chapman Gordon from Manchester had a number of traditional metal-based crowns that had left her with black lines at the gumline, leaving her smile looking less than radiant. She also possessed excessive gum tissue resulting in what is commonly known as a "gummy smile".
"I had always been a little self-conscious about my teeth and gums and I felt that things were getting worse as I was getting older. The discolouration of the old crowns was a constant reminder to me and I could never really relax when I smiled as I thought others would always notice".
Having worked in the dental profession for over 27 years it took Karen a long time to find a dentist that could construct and create a smile that met her expectations.
At Buckle & McGrath Karen had a course of laser recontouring treatment for her gum line and had her older crowns replaced with new full porcelain Cerec inlay that were milled on the premises especially for her.

"It sounds dramatic to say that my dentures were ruining my life but the fact is they were. I was constantly worrying that they would fall out and I had even stopped smiling and was no longer able to lead a normal life".
Dr McGrath recommended implant retained dentures as the best option for Alison. This required dental implants to be placed into her jaw bone which are then used to attach the dentures. She had two implants placed in her lower jaw and four in her upper. When in place, the denture is securely attached to the implants but can also be easily removed when required.
An implant supported denture differs from a conventional denture because they look and feel like natural teeth with the added benefit of having no palate. They allow the patient to speak, smile, eat and taste food with complete confidence that they will stay firmly in place.
Alison continued "The whole treatment was completed in just three months. From the moment I was introduced to Dr McGrath and the team at the Practice, I knew I would receive the very best treatment and care available.
